10/10 on American Chinese food, and I’m from NYC. I am actually a blogger on social media and a chef. I am from NY And American Cantonese and Szechuan was all around me growing up. This by FAR surpasses any of the Chinese food I have eaten in the last seven years since moving to Vermont , then to mass, now here to SW Va. I could go on about flavor, timing , and service but I’ll spare you the even more drawn out review and just saw it’s all VERY good. The food has a really good flavor. I suggest , if you order and are expecting spicy food, ask them to make it to the hottest of their ability, (trust me you won’t die ) and try the hot and sour soup. It’s perfect. I didn’t even have to add hot sauce, sesame oil, or anything, it was perfect,. We will definitely be back, thanks!

Good local spot in the most unlikely place. Stopped in on Sunday afternoon around 1:30, not busy and we were the only table. We ordered General Tso's, Sesame Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein, Cream Cheese Wonton, and Shrimp Egg Rolls. The food was freshly made and served hot, large portions. Food quality was good but taste was average. Atmosphere was good as was the service, very nice people. Prices were about what we expected, 46 dollars for 3 meals with drinks, extra egg rolls, and the wontons. We would definitely eat here again if in the area and wanting Chinese, probably wouldn't go out of the way to travel here and eat though. Worth a try if you're nearby.

Hadn’t ate at this place and years so decided to try it again. Wow. I had General Tso chicken and it was awesome. Lots of sauce and crispy chicken. Will definitely stop back by again

My first time eating here and it DID NOT disappoint! Food was the best I have ever had. I drove from kingsport to come pick up the food. This place was highly recommended. The lady that took my order was extremely nice and welcoming. I have found my favorite Chinese restaurant! The portions are huge! Thank you for an amazing experience!

I just moved back to the area and haven’t had food from here in years! I was sooo impressed from the food to the customer service! I loved being greeted with the bubbly personality and a bright smile! She was so happy to serve me and I absolutely loved her yellow flower hat! The food is top notch and absolutely amazing! Full of flavor and fresh! I will definitely become a regular now that I’m back! Thank you for the amazing service and food!

Have being a local to this establishment for 2 decades you see a lot of businesses come and go. Handy kitchen has been offering us something other than corporate dominated food for decades. This establishment under went an entire family shift and still has stood to the already established love and respect it held. I absolutely love to call my order in just to receive a friendly gesture every single time I call. Not only do they understand me they have never made my order incorrect. Also would like to add being someone who has unfortunately had food poisoning from wasabi and my beloved sakura, this place has never made me regret my choice. Thank you handy kitchen for being the true definition of a mom and pop shop.
